This little island is 1,5 km long and 500m wide. It is an oasis far from any hectic city life. The idyllic Pfaueninsel can be reached by a little fiery. Cars, bicycles and pets are not allowed on the island.

One can visit the graceful and authentic interior of the

castle, built in 1796 in ruin style by Frederick William II. The romantic park was laid out by Peter Joseph Lenné. The visitor walking around will be accompanied by some of the 100 enchanting peacocks on the island.
